Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for the proper prefixes to use in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the spec changes.

The DOMPoint() constructor creates a new DOMPoint object.

Syntax

var myDOMPoint = new DOMPoint(x, y, z, w);

Parameters

x
The x coordinate for the new DOMPoint.
y
The y coordinate for the new DOMPoint.
z
The z coordinate for the new DOMPoint.
w
The perspective value of the new DOMPoint.

Examples

To create a new DOMPoint, you could run a line of code like so:

var myDOMPoint = new DOMPoint(0.4, 0.5, -0.5, 1);
// running 'myDOMPoint' in the console would then return
// DOMPoint { x: 0.4, y: 0.5, z: -0.5, w: 1 }
