The cache
read-only property of the Request
interface contains the cache mode of the request.
SyntaxEdit
var currentCacheMode = request.cache;
Value
A RequestCache
value. The available values are:
default
no-store
reload
no-cache
force-cache
ExampleEdit
In the following snippet, we create a new request using the Request.Request()
constructor (for an image file in the same directory as the script), then save the request cache mode in a variable:
var myRequest = new Request('flowers.jpg');
var currentCacheMode = myRequest.cache; // returns "default" by default
