If the KeyPressEventArgs.Handled property is set to false, the System.Windows.Forms.TreeView control will select the first item that begins with the value of the KeyPressEventArgs.KeyChar property of e.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The TreeView.OnKeyPress(KeyPressEventArgs) method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
