System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridView.OnPreRender Method

Raises the System.Web.UI.Control.PreRender event.

Syntax

Parameters

e
An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

This method notifies the server control to perform any necessary pre-rendering steps prior to saving view state and rendering content.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The GridView.OnPreRender(EventArgs) method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
