The MonthCalendar.OnFontChanged(EventArgs) method resizes the control based on the new font size. This can cause the calendar to overlap other controls on the form if the potential sizing issues have not been taken into account.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The MonthCalendar.OnFontChanged(EventArgs) method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
