System.Windows.Forms.Application.RaiseIdle Method

Raises the Application.Idle event in hosted scenarios.

Syntax

[System.ComponentModel.EditorBrowsable(System.ComponentModel.EditorBrowsableState.Advanced)]
public static void RaiseIdle (EventArgs e)

Parameters

e
The EventArgs objects to pass to the Application.Idle event.

Remarks

This method is used when hosting Windows Forms in another environment, such as an unmanaged application. You should call Application.RaiseIdle(EventArgs) when the hosting application enters an idle state. This enables some Windows Forms controls and components to do important background work while the user is not interacting with the application.
