System.Windows.Forms.UpDownBase.OnTextBoxKeyDown Method

Raises the Control.KeyDown event.

Syntax

protected virtual void OnTextBoxKeyDown (object source, KeyEventArgs e)

Parameters

source
The source of the event.
e
A System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

If the UpDownBase.InterceptArrowKeys property is set to true and the user presses the UP ARROW key, the UpDownBase.UpButton method is called. Likewise, if the user presses the DOWN ARROW key, the UpDownBase.DownButton method is called.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The UpDownBase.OnTextBoxKeyDown(object, KeyEventArgs) method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
