The PasswordRecovery.OnSendingMail(MailMessageEventArgs) method is called after the membership provider has verified that the user is a valid member of the Web site and before the recovered or new password is e-mailed to the user. The default implementation raises the PasswordRecovery.SendingMail event.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Events and Delegates.

The PasswordRecovery.OnSendingMail(MailMessageEventArgs) method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
