Set-Network Controller Virtual Switch Configuration

This cmdlet sets the global settings of the virtual switch from the Network Controller.

Syntax

Set-NetworkControllerVirtualSwitchConfiguration
   -ConnectionUri <Uri>
   -Properties <VirtualSwitchManagerProperties>
   [-CertificateThumbPrint <string>]
   [-Credential <PSCredential>]
   [-Etag <string>]
   [-Force]
   [-ResourceId <string>]
   [-ResourceMetadata <ResourceMetadata>]
   [-Tags <psobject>]

Description

This cmdlet sets the global settings of the virtual switch from the Network Controller. This primarily sets Quality of Service settings for all virtual switches managed by the Network Controller.

Examples

Example 1

$Qos=New-Object Microsoft.Windows.NetworkController.VirtualSwitchQosSettings
$Qos.ReservationMode="Weight"
$vswitchSettings=New-Object Microsoft.Windows.NetworkController.VirtualSwitchManagerProperties
$vswitchSettings.QosSettings=$qos
Set-NetworkControllerVirtualSwitchConfiguration -ConnectionUri https://networkcontroller -Properties $vswitchSettings

Description

This example first creates a resource for QoS settings and sets the reservation mode to "Weight". Then, it sets the virtual switch manager settings with the QoS settings.

Required Parameters

-ConnectionUri

Specifies the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the Network Controller, used by all Representational State Transfer (REST) clients to connect to Network Controller.

Type: Uri
Position: Named
Default value: None
Accept pipeline input: False
Accept wildcard characters: False
-Properties

Following properties can be set for the virtual switch configuration: 1. Reservation mode for QoS: absolute or Weight 2. Link speed percentage 3. Default reservation for QoS 4. Whether hardware limits are enabled for QoS 5. Whether hardware reservations are enabled for QoS 6. Whether software reservations are enabled for QoS

Type: VirtualSwitchManagerProperties
Position: Named
Default value: None
Accept pipeline input: False
Accept wildcard characters: False

Optional Parameters

-CertificateThumbPrint

Specifies the digital public key X.509 certificate of a user account that has permission to perform this action. This is the certificate thumbprint of the certificate.
