Vera fonts

I just downloaded the vera fonts version 1.10.  I installed them on Windows
2000 with service pack 3.  The quick font viewer (double clicking on any of
the .ttf files) displays an error box that states: "The requested file <font
path> was not a valid font file."  Where <font path> is the absolute path to
the font file.

On the other hand, it installed into the font folder correctly and it
appears in the standard font dialog.
