Missing characters in bitstream vera sans

Hello,
There are some missing characters in the bitstream vera sans that I would love 
to have, because I really like the font but I need those characters.
I bet they are easy to add, since they are combination of existing glyphs and 
I offer to do it myself, if someone can point me in the right direction to do 
it.
Basically, the missing chars are: ĉ, Ĉ, ĝ, Ĝ, ĥ, Ĥ, ĵ, Ĵ, ŝ, Ŝ, ŭ and Ŭ [1].
The unicode numbers for this characters, all from table 1, are: 0109, 0108, 
011D, 011C, 0125, 0124, 0135, 0134, 015D, 015C, 016D and 016C respectivly.
