Oh, I missed this email. You already replied that this is cool. 

Well, there are various issues around that. However, I think its okay to
just keep it as PD on the site. If someone is so inclined to do so, when
the Open Font License metadata and next version are ready (which the
site is waiting on for usage, etc), then they can make changes and a
derivative of your contribution, otherwise, I think we should just keep
the same and keep going :)
