Data Object Description

Data object that describes a single service that runs on the host.

Properties

Name Type Description
keyxsd:string

Brief identifier for the service.
labelxsd:string

Display label for the service.
policyxsd:string

Service activation policy.

requiredxsd:boolean

Flag indicating whether the service is required and cannot be disabled.
ruleset*xsd:string[]

List of firewall rulesets used by this service. Must come from the list of rulesets in ruleset.
runningxsd:boolean

Flag indicating whether the service is currently running.
sourcePackage*HostServiceSourcePackage

The source package associated with the service

Since vSphere API 5.0
uninstallablexsd:booleanDeprecated. This flag is unimplemented and will always be set to false.
