::-moz-range-thumb

Non-standard
This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

Summary

The ::-moz-range-thumb CSS pseudo-element represents the thumb, the virtual knob the user can move within the groove, or track, of an <input> of type="range" to alter its numerical value.

Using ::-moz-range-thumb with anything but an <input type="range"> doesn't match anything and has no effect.

Example

<input type="range" min="0" max="100" step="5" value="50"/>
input[type=range]::-moz-range-thumb {
  background-color:green;
}

leads to:

The thumb of the <input type=right> styled in green
