Send a single message to a native application.
Syntax
browser.runtime.sendNativeMessage(
application, // string
message, // object
function(response) {...} // optional function
)
Parameters
applicationstring. The name of the native messaging host.messageobject. The message that will be passed to the native messaging host.responseCallbackOptionalfunction. The function is passed the following arguments:responseany. The response message sent by the native messaging host. If an error occurs while connecting to the native messaging host, the callback will be called with no arguments andruntime.lastErrorwill be set to the error message.
